Building the Future with Python

Welcome to the official Call for Proposals for PyCon Kenya 2026! 🇰🇪

We are thrilled to invite developers, data scientists, educators, and enthusiasts to share their knowledge and experiences with the Python community in Nairobi this October. Whether you are a seasoned speaker or a first-time presenter, we want to hear your story.

What we are looking for:

We welcome talks on any Python-related topic, including but not limited to:
- Web Development (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
- Data Science & AI (Pandas, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Cloud & DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless)
- Community & Diversity (Building local tech ecosystems)
- Hardware & IoT (MicroPython, CircuitPython)

Session Formats

  • Talks (30 mins): Deep dives into a specific library, framework, or concept.
  • Lightning Talks (5 mins): Short, high-energy demos or ideas.
  • Workshops (90 mins): Hands-on sessions for interactive learning.

  • CFP Opens: April 15, 2026
  • CFP Closes: June 10, 2026
  • Speaker Notifications: Late July 2026

New to speaking? We offer mentorship! Submit an early draft by May 15th, and our review team will provide constructive feedback to help you polish your proposal.
